Renato Capobianco named Revs Director of Soccer
by: Tony Biscaia
November 6, 2002

Returning to the Revs after a two year hiatus since his previous stint as assistant for former coaches Thomas Rongen and Fernando Clavijo, Capobianco will now take on the role of Director of Soccer, a new position created to replace that of former GM Todd Smith.

After the press conference, in which Sunil Gulati introduced Chief Operating Officer Lou Imbriano and Capobianco, management and coaches were available for informal talks and interviews.

RevsNet streaming audio brings you Renato's comments on how his return to the team came about, and what his role will be, followed by a Steve Nicol interview.

Coach Nicol was asked about the length of his new contract deal, Diego Serna, Joe Max-Moore, Daniel Hernandez, 2003 roster limit changes, and what makes a winning team.

Daouda Kante will be back, likely as a full international.
