Top
20 Prospects
Early indications are that the
2003 MLS Draft will be a good place to find outside defenders, forwards,
or maybe even a goalkeeper.
The top prospect is clearly Virginia
forward Alecko Eskandarian, who has already decided to skip his final year
of eligibility and sign with Major League Soccer. Barring a
last-second change of heart, he will most likely be the top selection to
D.C. United on January 17th.

Revs
Update, Twellman interview 12-3
The
Revs are back in town for three days of indoor practices at the bubble,
before the team disbands until the beginning of preseason training next
year.
Many of the 2002 regulars were missing for
a variety of reasons, ranging from players that have been waived (Jurgen
Sommer, Ian Fuller) to just-married Revs Captain Joey Franchino, who is
off on his honeymoon.

Renato Capobianco named Revs Director of Soccer
Returning to the Revs after a two year hiatus since his previous stint as assistant for former coaches Thomas Rongen and Fernando Clavijo, Capobianco will now take on the role of Director of Soccer, a new position created to replace that of former GM Todd Smith.
After the press conference, in which Sunil Gulati introduced Chief Operating Officer Lou Imbriano and Capobianco, management and coaches were available for informal talks and interviews.
